Page 1. Every concert of an artist is a unique event. An ephemeral experience, a moment. Yet, many of them stay in the memory and the heart of the public and the artist himself. Every concert is an exchange of the energy between the artist and listeners, influenced by many factors, often very personal, difficult to grasp. Each of these moments has its unique soul and can never be truly re-lived, even if one attempts to capture it on a record. Ingolf Wunder performed in dozens of countries, hundreds of cities, often multiple times in the same venues. Here are some of the concert halls on his artistic journey.

Carnegie Hall, Stern Auditorium
With its unique acoustics, stunning design, and rich history, the Stern Auditorium is a true architectural and acoustical marvel. It's a place where music truly can come to life, and where countless legendary musicians have performed including Maria Callas, Vladimir Horowitz, Josef Hofmann, Artur Rubinstein, Arturo Toscanini, making it a landmark of music and culture. Ingolf Wunder enchanted the sold out auditorium with Chopin's A-flat major Polonaise Op.53 and other works.
Moscow Conservatory, Grand Hall
The Moscow Conservatory's Grand Hall is a stunning masterpiece, with the grandeur of its architecture matched only by probably the best acoustics in the world and beauty of the music performed within its walls. It has hosted performances by some of the greatest pianists of all time, including Sviatoslav Richter and Emil Gilels. Ingolf Wunder played there for the first time 16 years ago and has returned many times since playing both with orchestra and in recital.
Musikverein, Golden Hall
The Golden Hall of the Musikverein in Vienna is a one-of-a-kind masterpiece of acoustical engineering and architectural design, with iconic gold leaf-covered walls, ornate chandeliers, and unparalleled acoustics that make it a true musical world treasure. It has hosted some of the greatest musicians of all time, including the renowned conductor Carlos Kleiber. Other notable performers have included pianists such Vladimir Horowitz and Ignacy Jan Paderewski. It also serves as the residence of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. Ingolf Wunder made his debut in this hall only 6 years after taking on the piano and has returned to the Musikverein many times since then.
Berlin Philharmonie
With its iconic architecture and world-renowned acoustics, the Berlin Philharmonie is a design and historical masterpiece. It's also linked to legendary conductor Herbert von Karajan, who led the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra there for many years. La Divina, Maria Callas herself graced the stage, which made it even more exiting for Ingolf Wunder to have played in both the Grosser Saal and Kammermusiksaal in recital and with orchestra. 
Queen Elizabeth Hall
The Queen Elizabeth Hall in London is a stunning concert venue with exceptional acoustics and a one-of-a-kind architectural design. Its modernist aesthetic, combined with its superior sound quality, made it a truly amazing place for Ingolf Wunder's London debut, which was praised by the Guardian with a 5 star review.
Tonhalle Zürich
The Tonhalle Zürich in Switzerland is a magnificent concert hall with exceptional acoustics and a one-of-a-kind architectural design. Its magnificent dome ceiling and ornate decor create an enchanting ambiance that is truly unique. Maria Callas graced the stage in 1957, Ingolf Wunder, being an admirer of La Diva, presented a recital with works by Mozart and Chopin in the big hall.
Spodek Arena
The Spodek Arena in Katowice, Poland, is a one-of-a-kind venue distinguished by its distinctive saucer-like shape and contemporary design. It's a versatile venue that can accommodate a wide range of events, from sporting events to music concerts and exhibitions. Ingolf Wunder performed in front of over 5000 people in this stunning place.
Shanghai Grand Theatre
The Shanghai Grand Theatre is a modern architectural marvel known for its eye-catching design and cutting-edge technology. The theatre is a true architectural gem where Ingolf Wunder for the Chinese public in 2018.
Forest Opera (Opera Leśna)
The Opera Leśna in Sopot, Poland, is a one-of-a-kind open-air venue known for its idyllic forest setting, natural acoustics, and stunning architecture. The open-air stage, surrounded by nature, creates an enchanting setting for live performances, hosting the world's greatest artists from Opera to popular music, such as Charles Aznavour, Whitney Houston and Sting. Ingolf Wunder played both on the piano and as a conductor in this beautiful venue.
Rudolfinum
The Rudolfinum in Prague, Czech Republic is a magnificent concert hall known for its beautiful architecture, exceptional acoustics, and rich cultural history. The Art Nouveau design of the venue, combined with its superior sound quality, makes it the most important hall in the Czech Republic. Sviatoslav Richter was a frequent guest on stage. Ingolf Wunder played for his Czech Audience in this stunning hall multiple times over the years.
Théâtre des Champs-Elysées
The Théâtre des Champs-Elysées in Paris, France, is a historic concert hall known for its Art Deco design, excellent acoustics, and rich cultural heritage. It is a true architectural masterpiece that has hosted some of the world's most famous artists, such as Maria Callas, Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, Oscar Peterson, Igor Stravinsky and many others. Ingolf Wunder had his French as well as Parisian Debut in this hall in 2003, only 4 years after starting to play the piano performing Prokofiev 3rd piano concerto with Emmanuel Krivine and the Orchestre National de France.
Mariinsky Theater
The Mariinski Theatre in St. Petersburg, Russia, is known for its state-of-the-art facilities, cutting-edge technology, and elegant design. The venue's unique combination of modern amenities and traditional architecture makes it truly unique. Ingolf Wunder played in St. Petersburg multiple times and played both in recital and as a soloist with orchestra in this magnificent hall.
Warsaw Philharmonic
The stunning Warsaw Philharmonic concert hall in Poland is known for hosting the most important piano competition in world,  the International Chopin Piano Competition. The hall is known for its exceptional acoustics, tradition and rich history. It has hosted some of the greatest musicians of our time, including Adam Harasiewicz and Krystian Zimerman, who won the most important and difficult piano competition, the Chopin Competition in this hall. Ingolf Wunder has played multiple times in this beautiful concert hall.
Suntory Hall
Suntory Hall, located in Tokyo, Japan, is a world-renowned concert hall known for its beautiful design, prestige and modern acoustics. It was built in 1986 by Yasui Architects. The hall holds 2006 people, when sold out and has hosted some of our generation's greatest musicians. Ingolf Wunder, visiting Japan multiple times, played Beethoven at the Suntory Hall in Tokyo.
LOTTE Concert Hall
The LOTTE Concert Hall in Seoul, Korea, is a contemporary concert venue holding 2036 people, designed by Nagata Acoustics. It is known for its distinctive "vineyard style" architecture and hosting of high-profile events. Many well-known musicians played there, making it a popular Asian destination for music fans. Ingolf Wunder visited Seoul to play Chopin at LOTTE Concert Hall.
Berlin Konzerthaus
The 'Grosser Saal', big hall at the Berlin Konzerthaus is one of the most important halls in Germany known for its rich historical heritage. It has hosted some of the greatest musicians in history, including Niccolo Paganini, and is considered one of the jewels of classical music history. Ingolf Wunder, showed his deep musicianship and extreme virtuosity multiple times in this stunning for almost 1700 people.
Wiener Konzerthaus
The 'Großer Saal' at the Wiener Konzerthaus is a well known concert hall for 1865 people in the musical capital of Austria, known for its elegant design, exceptional acoustics. It has hosted some of the twentieth century's greatest musicians, including Alfred Cortot, making it a must-see destination for music and culture enthusiasts. Ingolf Wunder played at the Konzerthaus for the first time only two years after starting to play the piano and has returned multiple times ever since.
Taipei National Concert Hall
Taipei's National Concert Hall is a world-class concert venue known for its acoustics and the Chinese palace exterior design. It has hosted many renowned musicians, including Luciano Pavarotti, Pinchas Zukerman, Sergiu Celibidache and formations like the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra of Amsterdam and the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra with Ingolf Wunder playing Chopin at this impressive venue.
Kölner Philharmonie
Opened in 1986, the Cologne Philharmonic, with its 2000 seats, is a renowned concert hall in Germany, known for its exceptional acoustics, elegant design. It has hosted some of the greatest musicians of our time, including Claudio Abbado, making it a center for culture lovers. Ingolf Wunder played Beethoven's 5th piano concerto there, stunning the audience with his musical expression and virtuosity.
Alte Oper Frankfurt
The Alte Oper Frankfurt, opened in 1880, is an impressive concert venue in Germany, which was unfortunately extensively damaged during World War Two, though some of the outside walls and façades fortunately survived. It has hosted some of the greatest musicians of all time, including Richard Strauss, making it a must-see destination for music lovers. Ingolf Wunder enchanted the audience with his Beethoven interpretations in this hall.
Rudolfinum
The Rudolfinum is a magnificent concert hall in Prague, Czech Republic. Since it was opened in 1885 it is known for its unique architecture, exceptional acoustics, and rich cultural heritage. It has hosted some of the greatest musicians of our time, including Sviatoslav Richter, making it a must-see destination for music and culture lovers. Ingolf Wunder's performances in this hall included works by Mozart, Beethoven, Liszt, Chopin and many others.
Auditorio de Zaragoza
The Auditorio de Zaragoza is a modern concert hall in Zaragoza, Spain, designed by architect José Manuel Pérez Latorre, known for its exceptional acoustics, contemporary design. It was opened in 1994 and has hosted many famous musicians, such as Zubin Mehta with Ingolf Wunder playing an all Chopin Recital in that venue.
Grosses Festspielhaus
The Grosses Festspielhaus (Large Festival House) in Salzburg, Austria, is a magnificent concert hall designed by Clemens Holzmeister in 1956 is known for its grand architecture and incredible history. It has hosted some of the greatest musicians of our time, including Herbert von Karajan, creating a legend that it must live up to once more. Ingolf Wunder charmed the audience with Beethoven and Tchaikovsky and many other works in this beautiful hall.
London LSO St Lukes
The London LSO St Lukes in London, United Kingdom, is a modern concert hall (Jerwood Hall) built in the St Luke’s Church on Old Street, which was designed by Nicholas Hawksmoor and John James and built in 1733. It has hosted many renowned musicians, including Vladimir Ashkenazy, and is a flexible space for performances and rehearsals in London. Ingolf Wunder's piano recital there included Liszt's Hexameron together with Chopin and Bartok.
Shanghai Concert Hall
The Shanghai Concert Hall was founded in 1930 as Nanking Theatre and is located on the intersection of Yan'an Road and South Tibet Road of Huangpu District, Shanghai. It is now a well-known concert venue that has hosted a number of high-profile events. Many famous musicians have performed there. Ingolf Wunder performed there in recital presenting works by Frédéric Chopin.
Sala Verdi
The Sala Verdi is a historic concert hall in Milan, Italy, within the Milan Conservatory, which was founded in 1808. It is known for its elegant and unique design, great acoustics, and rich history. The conservatory has hosted some of our generation's greatest musicians, such as Giacomo Puccini, Riccardo Muti and Ludovico Einaudi, who have studied and performed there. Ingolf Wunder recital included Liszt's Hexameron and works by Frédéric Chopin.
Casa da Música
The Casa da Msica in Porto, Portugal, is a concert hall notable for its eye-catching architecture (designed by architect Rem Koolhaas), excellent acoustics, and hosting of high-profile events. It has hosted renowned musicians such as Grigory Sokolov, making it an ideal destination for classical music fans and culture buffs alike. Ingolf Wunder especially likes the hall's modern design, which creates a distinct atmosphere making it one of Europe's most sought-after venues.
Stuttgart Liederhalle
The Stuttgart Liederhalle is a concert hall in Germany that is notable for its exceptional acoustics, grand design, and rich history. It has hosted incredible musicians such as Maria Callas and Carlos Kleiber, making it a must-visit destination for classical music fans. Opera Kadikoy

Ingolf Wunder played Liszt's b minor Sonata and Chopin in a very special appearance for Idil Biret's 80th birthday.
Zucker Hall
The Zucker Hall at the Charles Bronfman Auditorium in Tel Aviv has hosted renowned musicians such as Daniel Barenboim and many others. The wooden, modern design of the hall, combined with its rich cultural heritage, creates an atmosphere that blends tradition and innovation, making it one of the region's most sought-after venues. Ingolf Wunder in a piano recital presented works by Liszt and living composer Alexey Shor.
Winter Theatre
The Winter Theater in Sochi, Russia, boasts with a grand architecture, and a rich Russian cultural heritage. It has hosted some of the greatest musicians of our time, including Yuri Bashmet, making it a must-see destination for music and culture lovers alike. Ingolf Wunder played multiple times with Maestro Bashmet during the Winter International Arts Festival.
Verizon Hall, Kimmel Center
The Verizon Hall at the Kimmel Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA, is a concert hall known for its amazing design, and nice acoustics. It has hosted some of the finest musicians of our time, including André Watts, Yefim Bronfman,  Ingolf Wunder and many others. It's the home venue of the Philadelphia Youth OrchestraThe modern design of the hall, combined with its nice acoustics are making it one of the city's most sought-after venues.
Konzerthaus Dortmund
The Konzerthaus in Dortmund, Germany, is a concert hall known for its modern design and nice acoustics. This hall has hosted performances by some of the greatest musicians of our time, including Arcadi Volodos, making one of the most sought-after venues in Germany. Ingolf Wunder's piano recital was sold out and presented pieces from 300 years of music featuring Scarlatti, Mozart, Chopin, Liszt, Rachmaninov, Scriabin, Horowitz and John Williams.
Salle Gaveau
The Salle Gaveau is a famous hall in Paris, France. This magnificent hall was opened in 1907 and has an amazing history. Some works of most famous composers were premiered in it, such as Ravel and Stravinsky and the deepest musicians of our time appeared on the beautifully designed stage, such as including Claude Debussy, Camille Saint-Saëns, Pablo Casals, Artur Rubinstein, Wilhelm Backhaus, Wanda Landowska, Idil Biret, Ingolf Wunder many many others.
Auditorium de Lyon
The Auditorium de Lyon in Lyon, France, is a music hall recognized for its cutting-edge acoustics, modern design, and rich cultural legacy. It has hosted some of the world's best musicians, including Jascha Heifetz and Alfred Cortot, making it a must-see destination for music and culture lovers alike. Ingolf Wunder presented all four Ballades by Chopin  and Beethoven's Eroica Variations and the Moonlight Sonata during his last appearance.
Festspielhaus Baden-Baden

It has hosted some of the world's best musicians, including Claudio Abbado, Kent Nagano, and Valery Gergiev, making it a great place for music and culture fans alike. Ingolf Wunder played a recital broadcasted by the SWR in this magnificent hall that combines a rich history and unique ambiance.
Cadogan Hall
The Cadogan Hall in Sloane Terrace in Chelsea, London is a world-renowned music venue known for its superb acoustics, exquisite design. It's the home of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (RPO) and has hosted renowned musicians like as Maxim Vengerov, John Eliot Gardiner, Ingolf Wunder and many others. With a seating capacity of approximately 1000, the hall provides an unforgettable concert experience that should not be missed.
Philharmonie am Gasteig
The Philharmonie am Gasteig in Munich, Germany, is known for its contemporary design, cultural legacy and being the home of the Münchner Philharmoniker. The in 1907 opened beautiful Kurhaus with its iconic and historical architecture (constructed in neo-classical style with Art Nouveau elements; the facade is of Belle Époque style) is a versatile venue that has hosted a variety of cultural events, but is most renowned for its concert performances. It has hosted both the most famous as well as the finest musicians of our time, including Maria Callas, Bobby McFerrin, Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau, Chick Corea, Ingolf Wunder and many others .
Palau de la Música
The Palau de la Msica is a music hall in València, Spain, opened in 1987, is notable for its beautiful modernist architecture and cultural significance. It has hosted some of the finest musicians of our time, including Plácido Domingo, making it one of the most sought-after venues in Spain. Ingolf Wunder enchanted the Spanish audience with Chopin's first piano concerto.
Stadtcasino Basel
The Stadtcasino Basel in Switzerland was opened in 1826 and is a performance hall notable for its historical significance. The theatre has a long history of hosting cultural events such as concerts by renowned orchestras such as the Wiener Philharmoniker, Ingolf Wunder and many other notable musicians of our time are frequent visitors of this neoclassical hall to play solo recitals or as soloists with orchestra.
Tonhalle Düsseldorf
The building of the Tonhalle Düsseldorf, Germany was in 1926 the biggest planetarium in the world and was converted into performance hall in the 1970s. The venue has hosted some of the world's most renowned orchestras, including the London Symphony Orchestra and the finest pianists, including Sokolov, Kissin, Wunder and many others. The elegant architecture and modern technology create an ambience that merges contemporary design with great sound quality.
Muziekgebouw Eindhoven
The Muziekgebouw Frits Philips Eindhoven was established in 1992 and soon became internationally for its unique acoustics. It has hosted some of the most famous musicians of our time, including Valery Gergiev - Ingolf Wunder presented music by Frédéric Chopin in this must-see site for music and culture. The hall's contemporary design, combined with cutting-edge technology, provides a genuinely unique environment, making it one of the most sought-after venues in The Netherlands.
Tivoli Concert Hall
The Tivoli Concert Hall in Copenhagen, Denmark was designed 1956 by Frits Schlegel and Hans Hansen and is notable having hosted pop,  rock and classical concerts. It has hosted some of the most famous musicians of our time, including Tina Turner, Elton John, and Norah Jones, making it a must-see destination for music and culture lovers alike. In 2015 Ingolf Wunder's beautiful Chopin interpretations were performed in this genuinely unique hall and ambience.
Brucknerhaus Linz
The Brucknerhaus in Linz is a one-of-a-kind concert hall, with state-of-the-art acoustics, contemporary architecture, and a breathtaking river view. It's a perfect blend of modernity and tradition, and a true musical gem in Austria, hosting both local and international musicians of the highest order including Herbert von Karajan, Krystian Zimerman, Ingolf Wunder and many others.
Felsenreitschule
The Felsenreitschule in Salzburg, Austria, is a music hall notable for its one-of-a-kind setting and historical significance. St John’s Smith Square
The St John's Smith Square is a redundant church that after it having been firebombed in the Second World War, it was restored as a concert hall. Built in the 18th century, the music hall has spectacular Baroque architecture and acoustics that complement the performance. The series has hosted some of the most interesting pianists of our time, including Murray Perahia, Ingolf Wunder and many others, making it a must-see location for both music fans and history buffs. Prinzregententheater
The Prinzregententheater in Munich is a one-of-a-kind concert venue with a long history and a beautiful design. The theatre was built in the Prinzregentenstrasse as a festival hall for the operas of Richard Wagner, whose demands were also followed in the architecture of the theater. The venue has hosted some of the greatest musicians of our time. A genuinely remarkable experience is created by the combination of gorgeous architecture, luxurious design, and world-class performances. Ingolf Wunder played in recital at this beautiful venue.
Théâtre du Palais-Royal
The Théâtre du Palais-Royal in Paris is a famous concert hall that combines elegance and intimacy in a unique way. The facility, which was built in 1637, has spectacular architecture and acoustics that are ideal for classical music concerts. It's possible that Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart himself entered this theater, and over the course of its lengthy existence, the theater has hosted some of the world's most famous artists. Ingolf Wunder performed there in March 2014, with one of his mentors Idil Biret in the audience. A genuinely remarkable experience is created by the blend of historical building, exquisite design, and world-class performances.
Gewandhaus
The first concert hall at the Gewandhaus in Leipzig was constructed in 1781 by architect Johann Carl Friedrich Dauthe inside the Gewandhaus, a building used by cloth (garment) merchants. Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 5 (The Emperor Concerto) premiered here in 1811. The latest Gewandhaus, opened in 1981 is well-known for its excellent acoustics and attractive design, as well as its association with some of the world's most famous musicians. One of the most well-known performers was composer and pianist Felix Mendelssohn, who served as conductor of the Gewandhaus Orchestra in the 1830s and 40s and premiered numerous of his own pieces there.
Orchard Hall - Bunkamura
The Orchard Hall in Tokyo's Bunkamura (文化村, Japanese for "cultural enclave") is located in Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan and is a cutting-edge music venue recognized for its outstanding acoustics and clean, modern appearance. From Bob Dylan, Art Garfunkel to Maria Callas, Mitsuko Uchida and Ingolf Wunder have performed at the Orchard Hall. This facility is a must-see for music fans, since it hosts a diverse selection of concerts ranging from classical to pop and jazz.
Bilkent Concert Hall
The Bilkent Konser Salonu in Ankara, Turkey, is a performance venue recognized for its contemporary design and exceptional acoustics. Idil Biret, the most prominent Turkish classical musician, as well as Mischa Maisky, Shlomo Mintz, Emmanuel Pahud, Ingolf Wunder and many others have performed there.
Izumi Hall
The Izumi Hall in Osaka, Japan, was acoustically modelled after the Grand Hall at the Musikverein in Vienna and it's a venue with superb acoustics and an intimate design. Some of the world's best pianists have performed in the hall, including Martha Argerich, Ingolf Wunder and may others.
Kioi Hall
The Kioi Hall in Tokyo is a well-known performance venue famed for its excellent acoustics and small setting. One of the Chopin prize-winners, Mitsuko Uchida, is one of the performers that have performed there among many other fine musicians, including Marc-André Hamelin and Ingolf Wunder. With a capacity of only 800 seats, the hall's design creates an immersive and unique concert-going experience.
Frauenkirche Dresden
With its majestic baroque architecture and rich history, the Frauenkirche (Church of Our Lady) Dresden provides also an exceptional venue for classical concerts. Destroyed during the Allied bombing of Dresden in World War II, the church was reconstructed between 1994 and 2005. Murray Perahia, a pianist who has enthralled audiences with his dazzling performances, is one of the most recognized performers to have graced the stage. Ingolf Wunder played in this wonderful setting with Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra.
Bunka Kaikan
The Bunka Kaikan is a renowned music hall in the centre of Tokyo, recognized for its fine acoustics and striking modern architecture. It was built in 1961 and has hosted some of the world's most famous classical musicians, including violinist Itzhak Perlman.
